Facebook Ads Not Converting in Bangladesh? 7 Reasons and How to Fix Them

Facebook ads not converting in Bangladesh is one of the most common complaints from business owners. The ads get views, the page gets likes, and the budget keeps running, but the orders and enquiries don’t arrive.

The usual reaction is to blame the ad. In most cases the ad is only one of four places where customers drop out. This guide walks you through each stage, from the ad to the follow-up, so you can find where yours is leaking.

1. Check that your offer is clear

People scroll fast. If your ad doesn’t say what you sell, who it is for and why they should act now, they keep scrolling. Vague lines like “Best quality, best service” don’t give anyone a reason to click.

Say one specific thing: what the product is, what makes it different and what the next step is. Write it in the language your customers actually use, whether that’s Bangla, English or a mix of both.

2. Make sure the right people see the ad

Targeting that is too broad wastes budget on people who will never buy. Targeting that is too narrow limits Facebook’s ability to find buyers for you.

Start with a clear picture of your customer: location, age range, interests and what problem you solve for them. Then test two or three audiences against each other instead of guessing.

3. Test your landing page on a phone

Most Facebook users in Bangladesh browse on mobile, often on a slow connection. If your page takes too long to load, or the button is hard to find on a small screen, people leave before they read a word.

Open your own landing page on a phone using mobile data. Check how fast it loads, whether the text is readable and whether the order or contact button is easy to tap.

4. Reduce friction in the buying process

A customer who is ready to buy can still give up if the process feels risky or confusing. Common problems include long forms, unclear delivery details, no visible cash on delivery option, and no sign that your business is real.

Show your phone number, your address, your delivery information and your payment options clearly. Add real customer feedback where you can. Trust matters a great deal when buyers can’t touch the product first.

5. Check that your tracking works

If your Meta Pixel or Conversions API setup is missing or broken, Facebook can’t see which clicks turned into sales. Without that signal, it can’t learn who your best customers are, and your results get worse over time.

Use Meta’s Events Manager to confirm your purchase or lead events are firing correctly. Fix this before you change anything else, because every other decision depends on the data.

6. Reply to messages quickly

Many Bangladeshi businesses collect leads through Messenger and WhatsApp. A customer who messages you at night and gets a reply the next afternoon has often already bought from someone else.

Set up quick replies for common questions, assign someone to check the inbox, and follow up with people who showed interest but didn’t order.

7. Give campaigns enough time and stability

Changing the ad, audience and budget every day stops Facebook from learning what works. Spreading your budget across too many ad sets has the same effect, because none of them gets enough results to optimize properly.

Change one thing at a time, give each test a fair run, and judge results on conversions rather than likes or clicks.

Quick diagnosis

If people aren’t clicking, the problem is usually the ad or the audience. If they click but don’t act, look at the landing page and the buying process. If they act but you can’t see it, check your tracking. If they enquire but don’t buy, look at your follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my Facebook ads getting clicks but no orders?

Clicks only show that the ad caught attention. If orders don’t follow, the problem is usually after the click: a slow or confusing landing page, a buying process that feels risky, or tracking that isn’t recording the sales you do get. Check these three before you change the ad itself.

How long should I wait before judging a Facebook ad campaign?

Give it several days, not several hours. Meta’s system needs time to learn who responds, and Meta has said an ad set needs roughly 50 conversion events in a week to leave its learning phase. Judge the campaign on conversions, not on likes or clicks from the first day.

Do I need the Meta Pixel to run Facebook ads in Bangladesh?

You can run ads without it, but you will be running them blind. The Meta Pixel tells Facebook which clicks turned into orders or enquiries, and that is how it finds more people like your buyers. Adding the Conversions API on top makes the tracking more reliable.

Should I send people to a website or to Messenger?

Both can work. Many small Bangladeshi businesses get good results from Messenger because customers like to ask questions before buying. The condition is fast replies. If nobody answers for hours, a website with a clear order button will usually do better.

Should my ads be in Bangla or English?

Use the language your customers use when they talk about your product. For many local products that means Bangla, or a mix of both. If you are unsure, run one version of each and compare the results.

When is it worth asking an agency to review my ads?

After you have checked the offer, audience, landing page, tracking and follow-up and results still haven’t improved. An outside review is faster at spotting a problem you have stopped seeing.

When to ask for help

If you have worked through this list and your results haven’t improved, an outside review can often spot what is hidden from the inside. Switch Tech BD runs paid advertising campaigns for businesses across several platforms, and you can see examples on our portfolio page.
